Physical manga aficionados rejoice! Kodansha USA has announced that Hiroyuki’s rom-com harem manga, Girlfriend, Girlfriend, is getting a print English release. The planned release is part of Kodansha Print Club’s first anniversary, and will see the Kanojo mo Kanojo (KanoKano) manga published as a 2-in-1 paperback omnibus.
Kodansha USA will release the KanoKano omnibus on December 9.
Girlfriend, Girlfriend Details
Hiroyuki wrote and illustrated Kanojo mo Kanojo from its March 4, 2020, debut to its May 24, 2023, conclusion. The manga was based on Hiroyuki’s 10-chapter Twitter doujin, Two-Timing Fair and Square (Seisei Doudou Futamata suru Hanashi).
Weekly Shonen Magazine (Kodansha) serialized the manga. The publisher compiled Kanojo mo Kanojo’s individual chapters into 16 tankobon volumes. Kanojo mo Kanojo boasts two seasons of a TV anime. Tezuka Productions animated the first, and SynergySP animated the second.
Firmly proving that being stuck in a monogamous relationship is a skill issue, Girlfriend, Girlfriend follows Nayota Mukai, a dude madly in love with his childhood friend, Saki Saki. Knowing that his life would always be incomplete without Saki’s love, Nayota relentlessly chased her until he got that coveted “yes.” But right when it seems like lovey-dovey days lie ahead, Nayota’s dealt a dilemma. His kawaii schoolmate, Nagisa Minase, confesses to him. This is where the hoi polloi would decline an offer of affection. But being a man who knows you should hoard love like dragons hoard gold, Nayota convinces Saki to let him have another lover… and then another one, and another one.
Kodansha Print Club
Kodansha Print Club was established by Kodansha USA in 2024 to release paperback editions of manga such as Girlfriend, Girlfriend, which previously only had digital versions. Kodansha Print Club began its service by publishing Moare Ohta’s Teppu, Fujimomo’s Love, That’s an Understatement, and Narumi Shigematsu’s Blade Girl.
