Black Clover Season 2 TV anime revealed a new visual and trailer, along with confirming a 2026 release date during Jump Festa 2026. Studio Pierrot is returning to animate. While international fans may be confused due to the Seasons 1-4, the anime was aired consecutively in Japan and all 170 episodes are considered a single season. Studio Pierrot is back to handle the animation production.

Crunchyroll had previously accidentally mentioned the 2026 release date, but it was removed and left a question. You can watch the new trailer below.

Black Clover Season 2 – New Key Visual | 2026 Release Date

The Black Clover manga was serialized in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 2015 to August 2023, before transferring to Jump GIGA. It entered its final arc in August 2022. The manga is available to read on Viz Media’s website, MANGA Plus website, and the Shonen Jump mobile app in English. 

It received a 170-episode anime adaptation by Studio Pierrot, which ran from 2017 to 2021. The Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King movie premiered on June 16 and is streaming on Netflix. Crunchyroll streams the TV anime, and they describe the story:

In a world where magic is everything, Asta and Yuno are both found abandoned at a church on the same day. While Yuno is gifted with exceptional magical powers, Asta is the only one in this world without any. At the age of fifteen, both receive grimoires, magic books that amplify their holder’s magic. Asta’s is a rare Grimoire of Anti-Magic that negates and repels his opponent’s spells.
