Bandai Namco has confirmed that DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2: FUTURE SAGA Chapter 4, the final DLC for the long-running action RPG, will launch on July 8, 2026. This will bring Fu’s story to its conclusion after nearly a decade of post-launch support.
A launch trailer previewing what Bandai Namco describes as the climactic finale of the FUTURE SAGA was also released. You can check it out below.
The publisher also described Chapter 4 as the final DLC for DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2, closing out the FUTURE SAGA expansion that began in 2024.
Originally released in 2016, DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 has become one of Bandai Namco’s longest-supported games, receiving years of free updates and paid expansions that introduced new story content, playable characters, skills, costumes, and game modes while continuing the series’ time-travel story centered around the Time Patrol.
The game’s FUTURE SAGA follows the mysterious scientist Fu, whose experiments with time and alternate timelines create new threats that force players to revisit iconic moments throughout DRAGON BALL history. Chapter 4 serves as the conclusion to that storyline.
The release also arrives as Bandai Namco prepares the franchise’s next installment. DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3 was officially announced during Summer Game Fest 2026, with the publisher confirming a 2026 release window for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The sequel will have a new story and gameplay improvements.
DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2: FUTURE SAGA Chapter 4 launches on July 8, 2026, marking the end of the game’s final DLC storyline before the series moves on to XENOVERSE 3.
