The upcoming Magical Buffs: The Support Caster is Stronger Than He Realized anime released a new trailer. The announcement was revealed at Crunchyroll’s anime showcase at Anime Expo 2026.
Studio J.C. Staff is animating the series with Hideki Okamoto as director. Takao Yoshioka is doing the series composition while Yu Murakami is the character designer. Yuki Hayashi, Luke Sanridge and Asa Taylor are composing the music. The voice cast includes:
- Reiji Kawashima as Wim Strauss
- Hana Hishikawa Heidemarie
- Akeno Watanabe as Camilla
- Masaaki Mizunaka as Chronos
- Wakana Kuramochi as Rita Heynckes
The anime is based on a light novel series written by Haka Tokura and illustrated by Eiri Shirai. The title was originally published on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in November 2020. Futabasha acquired the title later and began publishing it under their M Novels light novel imprint in September 2021. There is also a manga adaptation by Shin Arakawa.
Seven Seas is releasing the light novel and manga in English, describing the former as:
When a support mage is kicked out of his group for outshining the hero, he becomes a member of an elite guild where he can really show off his powers! The light novel that inspired the manga–also available from Seven Seas–and the anime.
