The upcoming Overgeared anime has revealed its first full trailer, a new key visual, and two additional cast members ahead of its October 2026 premiere. Crunchyroll previously confirmed that it would stream the anime.
Based on the popular Korean web novel by Saenal and the webtoon adaptation by Monohumbug (REDICE STUDIO) and Team Argo, Overgeared follows Youngwoo Shin, a struggling gamer whose life changes after he gets a legendary blacksmith’s inheritance inside the virtual reality MMORPG Satisfy.
It was also announced that Saya Fukuzumi will voice Euphemina, while Shuntaro Takayama joins the cast as Huroi. The two appear on the new visual alongside Grid, who is voiced by Tatsumaru Tachibana. You can see the new visual below.
Ayako Kono (Sword Art Online Progressive) is directing the anime at J.C.STAFF, with Kenta Ihara (Sentenced to Be a Hero) handling series composition, Ryosuke Tanigawa designing the characters, Yoshiaki Fujisawa composing the music, and Yoshikazu Iwanami serving as the sound director. Originally serialized as a web novel before becoming one of REDICE STUDIO’s most successful webtoon adaptations, Overgeared joins a growing lineup of Korean fantasy series receiving anime adaptations following Solo Leveling, Tower of God, and The Beginning After the End.
