Deregula has released a trailer for the upcoming erotic rom-com I’m Dating a Dark Summoner. The anime’s production committee had previously revealed an October 2026 premiere date. Seiya Miyajima, who has previously directed other short-form anime like Umayon and BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! Pico will direct Dark Summoner to Dekiteiru.
Studio AtoriE (GANSO! BanG Dream Chan) will animate the adaptation. Studio Nyan Pollution-ω- (Does It Count if You Lose Your Virginity to an Android) will provide animation assistance.
HIDIVE had previously announced that it would stream the short-form anime. However, they have yet to confirm if they’ll air the censored broadcast version or the uncensored cut.

The anime adapts Shaoh’s erotic fantasy rom-com. Kadokawa has serialized I’m Dating a Dark Summoner through Dra Dra Sharp, Kadocom, and Niconico.
The story follows the priest Roni, who, to his disbelief, has to contend with a dark summoner joining his party. While the party’s newbie, Amona, is skilled and quite capable, Roni doesn’t agree with her methods. After all, how can a priest accept someone who uses the power of demons? And for her part, Amona doesn’t think any better of Roni. So the two quickly begin to bicker. But there’s truth to the adage of “opposites attract,” because by the end of their first day together, the two end up sleeping together! And if that wasn’t complicated enough, that one-night stand super-charged their attraction!
