That Time I Didn’t Think A Chair Could Upgrade My Setup… Until I Tried the TTRacing Maxx Pro: A Review 

I used to think a chair was just a chair; as long as it didn’t wobble or squeak every time I leaned back, I was happy. But after spending way too many hours at my desk gaming, working, or pretending I’d only just been there for 30 minutes, I started wondering if upgrading my chair could actually make a difference. When I first encountered the TTRacing Maxx chairs a few years ago, my life (or my back, rather) changed forever. I discovered the ergonomic comfort and magic of a gaming chair. I thought everything was perfect. That is, until today, when I met the TTRacing Maxx Pro. 

The Maxx Pro is TTRacing’s newest gaming chair, which just made its official debut in Taiwan in June. I wasn’t expecting this chair to change how my setup already felt completely, but after using it for a while now, I can honestly say that it did! And so without further ado, here’s what surprised me, what I loved, and whether I think the TTRacing Maxx Pro gaming chair is truly worth the investment. 

First Impressions

At first glance, the Maxx Pro definitely makes a strong impression. It felt premium right out of the box, and putting it together was pretty straightforward, so the assembly finished in under 30 minutes. My Air Threads Fabric – Blossom variant radiated a sleek, solid, modern design without looking overly flashy. And when it stood tall quite elegantly at the center of the room, it immediately gave me the confidence that it was built to last.

Looking closer, I started to fangirl over a few discoveries. I noticed that the Maxx Pro was notably lighter and the base rolls smoother. The materials are obviously a notch better, with the premium Air Threads Fabric, plush velour, and memory foam pillows feeling fluffier than the last. Meanwhile, the TTRacing logo is placed nobly on both sides of the headrests with a raised finish, ultimately matching the metallic colored threads along the ultra-soft and velvety accents of the Air Threads Fabric. The overall design is quite simple yet endearing; just enough to underline the Maxx’s quiet but bold personality.

For the upholstery, as compared to the rubbery feel of the Maxx Gojo gaming chair or the textured feel of the Maxx Luffy gaming chair, the Maxx Pro gaming chair feels gentle and silky smooth. The wide space and the memory foam’s subtle spring add to the extraordinary, luxurious experience. Truly, it doesn’t make sense to me how a chair could be this relaxing! You know those peaceful moments when a character leans back, closes their eyes for a moment, and the world and everything else slows down? Well, the TTRacing Maxx Pro gaming chair captures that feeling surprisingly well.

The moment I sat down, I felt the magic. The body-hugging fit, the firm backrest, curved lumbar support, the magnetic and upgraded pillows, the 5D velour foam-padded armrests, the extendable leg rests, and a recline of up to 135 degrees– all the comfort and functionality one needs for long hours of work, entertainment, rest, and everything in between. 

Daily Work, Comfort, and Style

Let’s be honest: most of us spend way too much sitting. Whether we’re grinding through work deadlines, climbing ranked matches, editing videos, or telling ourselves “I’ll watch one more episode” (which always becomes way more), our chairs quietly determine whether we’re productive or counting down the minutes until our back gives up. After using the TTRacing Maxx Pro for several weeks, I started appreciating the little things that I didn’t even think about before.

For instance, the customization is such a game changer. I wasn’t constantly shifting around trying to get comfortable, and long days in front of the computer became notably easier. I didn’t feel sore or warm, most likely because of the breathable perforated backrest design. I also discovered that I may be a fan of leg rests now. Admittedly, I thought these features were gimmicky before. Now, I feel like it’s the perfect way to stretch my legs, unwind, and stay cozy. And my goodness, this chair’s 135-degree recline is so good that my 15-minute breaks literally turn into hours.

I also got to appreciate the Air Threads Fabric all over again. Coming from the Hybrid Leatherette, the fabric provided a cool, cloud-like support without feeling stiff. The long busy days didn’t feel hot, and the velour really gave me that fuzzy, satisfying feel. My desk suddenly feels different– I’m inspired, productive, and comfy. It’s the kind of quiet support that makes me grateful.

Most of all, my favorite part of the TTRacing Maxx Pro is the magnetic foam headrest and the padded adjustable armrests. To be honest, these were my struggles with the TTRacing Maxx. I was too short to reach the head and armrests, and although I loved this gigantic cozy chair, I adapted by always keeping a pillow by my side. So, just imagine how loved and cared for I felt when I learned that TTRacing went the extra mile for the Maxx Pro.

Now, instead of wrestling with the straps, the headrest just magically snaps into place and slides up or down the 20cm vertical range to keep my head and shoulders snug. I was also pleasantly surprised at how the armrests’ adjustability could move up, down, forwards, backwards, and rotate 360°. I can move them into a position that works for whatever task I’m doing, whether it’s for typing, editing, gaming with a controller, or going into my third hour of an anime binge-watching session. Other than the beginning, when I would slip because I didn’t secure the angle, everything about it is amazing. I’m so happy with this.

You see, I believe the best chairs should be comfortable and durable. They’re the ones that feel lived in. The kind of space where you can lock in on your work, game for hours, take a nap, or simply exist without constantly shifting around trying to get comfortable. The TTRacing Maxx may have raised the bar for gaming chairs, but the Maxx Pro has taken things even further. It shows that TTRacing isn’t just creating great gaming chairs; it’s rethinking every detail to make sitting more comfortable than ever. 

Final Thoughts

All in all, I think that the TTRacing Maxx Gaming Chair is awesome. It balances aesthetics with thoughtful ergonomic features, and it’s more than just an “upgraded” model; it represents TTRacing’s ongoing efforts to create and deliver a world-class comfort experience that people deserve.

That means this chair was engineered for every routine with precision. I can personally attest to this, especially since I’ve seen and tried their chairs out for three years now! So far, my TTRacing chairs are still alive and well with barely any signs of wear and tear. The quality of the craftsmanship speaks for itself, so I’m not too worried about how the Maxx Pro will age.

While it isn’t the cheapest chair available, the overall comfort, build quality, and adjustability make it feel like a worthwhile investment. If you spend several hours at your desk, the value becomes much easier to appreciate over time. So yes, I think the TTRacing Maxx Pro chair is definitely worth it, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

• Air Threads Fabric. My Blossom variant is dressed in Air Threads Fabric with plush velour and cold-cure foam that provides a soft, breathable, and comfortable seating experience. It’s so much cozier than my Gojo chair with Hybrid Leatherette. However, fabric has its own pros and cons (they’re listed on the website), and I’m willing to take them on because I’m just a girl — I like pink.
• Ergonomic Curved Lumbar and Design. The chair has a wide, open-ended seat base, while the ergonomic backrest is crafted to fit your spine’s natural S-curve. The memory foam, especially the back and neck pillow (which is now magnetic), is soft yet solid where it matters. It’s a small relief for back aches, a good fit for long hours of working and gaming. As someone who sits, types, draws, and writes all day, the uninterrupted support is everything to me.
• Spacious and Comfy. The size fits between the height range of 165 to 200 cm. It’s a big chair! Although I’m 160 cm (5’3″), I still find it very comfortable and quite snug. I have my own footstool, so if you’re like me and like to fold your legs, this chair lets you do that comfortably. The new extendable leg rest also changes the game; it’s the perfect way to stretch my legs and unwind.
• 135-degree Full Recline. The multi-tilt mechanism is perfect for those who want to reset and relax while sitting. I think it’s great for power naps and for staying cozy.
• 5D Adjustable Armrests. Soft cushions that you can move 360° in motion to accommodate your precise seating position. It can be adjusted when you want to switch to mobile or sit like a gremlin. It can also line up over your desk- it’s one of the little things in comfort that go a long way.
• Stable Base. The aluminium base, Class 4 SGS hydraulics, and chrome casters effortlessly carry the entire weight of this big chair, myself included. It rolls so smoothly, too.
• Affordability. For its price of PHP 24,499 (original price of PHP 31,599.00, about USD 512), it’s not as crazy expensive as the others and is overall really worth the investment for a comfortable seating experience. For a premium gaming chair in the Asian market, the Maxx Pro is somewhat affordable.
• Style. It’s customisable, good-looking, well-built, and most of all, it’s pink!
