Mushoku Tensei: Eris the Goblin Slayer OVA Is Now Streaming on Funimation

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation OVA titled Eris the Goblin Slayer is now streaming on Funimation. The extra unaired episode was originally released with the special edition of the 4th Blu-ray volume in Japan on March 16.

The episode follows Eris during the events of the light novel’s 5th volume/episode 16 of the anime. A trailer was recently revealed:

While Rudeus reunites with his father in Millishion, Eris sets out to fulfill her dream of slaying goblins. While at the Adventures’ Guild, however, she encounters Cliff, a conceited young mage who threatens to spoil her adventure.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation anime is an adaptation of the light novel of the same name by Rifujin na Magonote and Shirotaka (illustrator). Studio Bind animated the first season, which aired in two cours throughout 2021. The first cour aired in the Winter anime season, while the second started in the Fall season. The franchise also recently got an announcement for a sequel – season 2.

In addition to the “Goblin Slayer” OVA, Eris now also has an ongoing manga spin-off series. The manga started on Square Enix’s Gangan Online magazine app on March 15, while the website version will become available on March 29.

Although the OVA is available on Funimation, at the time of writing Crunchyroll didn’t have it. The two services will soon be unified under the Crunchyroll brand and in a statement released recently, it was announced that the migration of the content has begun. Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation’s first season is available on Crunchyroll (for premium members) in some regions. In addition to Funimation, Muse Asia is also streaming the episode on their channels.
