An Uma Musume: Pretty Derby and Midori no Makibao collaboration event is now underway. As part of the event, the collab’s PR team has released a crossover video of the two franchises. The Umamusume x Midori no Makibao collaboration event celebrates the 5th anniversary of the Umamusume game, the 30th anniversary of Midori no Makibao, and the year of the horse.
“Run OO O,” the collaboration’s video, will be available on the PakaTube YouTube channel from April 1 to April 30. The song is a cover of ‘Hashiro Makibao,’ the opening theme of Midori no Makibao, which itself is a cover of Salty Sugar’s ‘Hashire Kotaro.’ Japan is known for being fond of wordplay; because of that, all the characters featured in the video have names that end with “O.” The video’s characters include
- Calstone Light O — Yumiko Mochizuki
- Sakura Bakushin O — Sachika Misawa
- Sakura Chitose O — Riko Akechi
- Sakura Chiyono O — Ruriko Noguchi
- TM Opera O — Sora Tokui
- Tokai Teio — Machico
- Midori Makibao — Inuko Inuyama

As part of the Umamusume x Midori no Makibao collab, fans of the series can follow the anime’s X accounts and repost tweets to win special merchandise. The collaboration’s merch includes t-shirts, hoodies, badges, and acrylic stands.
