Call of the Night Episode 2 - Another Great Night

Call of the Night episode 2 is back with another incredible episode with Ko and Nazuna’s new friendship. The anime continues with its pleasing bright colors, the starry sky, creative shots, and every other smooth movement in the show! It’s really becoming one of my favorites this season!

In last week’s episode, we got to experience the tranquility and freedom of the night. This week, we get to see how Ko starts to feel lonely as he searches far and wide for his vampire friend, who apparently. also spends most of the night looking for him. The story, together with the art, is very charming and the only thing I hate is how the episode feels short.

Call of the Night episode 2 highlights the growing relationship between Ko and Nazuna. Ko wants to become a vampire, but to do that, he has to fall in love with Nazuna. Although Nazuna teases Ko a lot, she actually gets very embarrassed with intimacy and romance. It’s endearing to hear their conversations and how they spend the nights together. The jump from its lonely night scenes, erotic blood-sucking moments, and the cute funny ones are all very entertaining. I am genuinely enjoying the series!

Ko also says something about how he never thought being alone was sad, and that feeling lonely with people was actually sadder. These emotions are indeed difficult to deal with, but the nice thing Ko says afterward is that his loneliness has meaning now — searching the night for his ner friend, Nazuna. The wristwatch transceiver (and that large phone) was also very nostalgic to see.

The wanderlust this anime brings really amazes me. Not to mention, the music really vibes! The insert song when Ko and Nazuna soar above the city is also by Creepy Nuts. I’m loving their bonding moments, but that cliffhanger really got me. Does Ko have a friend after all? The next episode will release on July 21, at 12:55 PM while the English subbed version will follow an hour later on HiDive. Don’t forget to vote in our weekly polls!
