CosMeet 2023: A Weekend of Cosplay at Okada Manila

Cosplay.ph surprised us all with CosMeet 2023, a two-day anime and cosplay event at the prestigious five-star Okada Manila hotel in Parañaque City, Philippines. The event was held last October 28-29 at their lavish Cove Manila, known for its beautiful and clear glass dome building, allowing natural light perfect for great pictures and a fresh ambiance. CosMeet is the newest feature in the Cosplay Mania event series and despite its late announcement and unfamiliar venue, the cosplay adventure event was a blast!

Other than the special guests, games, exhibits, and fan fairs, what really made CosMeet 2023 extra unique is how con-goers had plenty of room to roam and take pictures, and that the place itself is pretty fancy. Anime Corner had the honor of being invited and so without further ado, here are some of my favorite CosMeet 2023 highlights.

Event Stage with floor mats and Okada’s Cove Manila view

Cove Manila is renowned as Southeast Asia’s largest and grandest entertainment space enclosed in a glass dome. It’s a beach club by day and a nightclub by evening. Okada Manila boasts of its extraordinary, one-of-a-kind, world-class amenities and equipment. Most importantly, the place is customizable — the exhibit and free-roam floor was a platform on top of the swimming pool. Pretty cool, right? The lobby area had a lot of gorgeous tables, benches, and hangouts too.

My favorite part about CosMeet 2023 is really Cove Manila’s features, especially with its amazing view of the sky and Manila Bay. It made the overall anime and cosplay experience unforgettable. Most of all, the cosplay photos look great!

And that’s all for our coverage of CosMeet 2023 at Okada Manila. The next event by Cosplay.ph is the year-ender, Cosplay Matsuri, happening through December 28-30, 2023 at the SMX Convention Center. See you there!
