Daemons of the Shadow Realm (Yomi no Tsugai) anime revealed the Episode 1 preview images, along with six character visuals. The anime was previously confirmed for an April 4, 2026 premiere date. Studio BONES FILM is in charge of the animation, with two consecutive cours also announced earlier. The anime will be streaming on Crunchyroll.

The opening theme song is “Tobu Toki” (“When I Fly”) by Vaundy, while the ending theme song is “Tobo yo” (“Let’s Fly”) by yama. Both are featured in the main trailer, which you can watch below.
The director of the anime is the Sword of the Stranger director, Masahiro Ando. The voice cast includes:
- Kensho Ono as Yuru
- Yume Miyamoto as Asa
- Yuichi Nakamura as Dera
- Misaki Kuno as Gabu-chan
- Junichi Suwabe as Jin Kagemori
- Miyuri Shimabukuro as Hana
- Takako Honda as Left

Daemons of the Shadow Realm is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hiromu Arakawa (Fullmetal Alchemist). It has been serialized in Square Enix’s Monthly Shonen Gangan since December 2021. Square Enix is also releasing it in English. They describe the story:
In a world where certain humans command mighty supernatural duos called Daemons, it is the birthright of “the children who sunder day and night”—twins Yuru and Asa—to rule over these powerful entities.
Separated from a young age and unaware of the truth of their birth, brother and sister must fight to make their way back to each other, claim their birthright, and save the world…
