It’s strange how the Fall 2021 anime season feels like it began yesterday yet is now drawing to a close. Time flies, and here at Anime Corner, we’ve concluded our calculations for the anime that premiered this season.
In case you missed it, Anime Corner conducted weekly surveys from October 1, 2021 to December 24, 2021, gathering community insights and reporting rankings for weekly episode releases. Our surveys acquired data from 32,767 people during the season, and our findings are based on the overall data gathered thus far.
This season, we conducted weekly polls from Week 1 to Week 11, followed by a season-ending poll titled “Anime of the Season” from December 17 to December 24, 2021.
Our final poll data accounted for 55% of the weight in the score ranking, while data from our weekly polls accounted for the remaining 45%. The 45 percent weight is allocated via a variety of methods throughout the course of eleven weeks, resulting in multiple data sets that are then averaged.
This is a weighted ranking, and we picked this method in order to produce a more balanced result.
To maintain data integrity, we have made every effort to minimise spam and data duplication by logging each user’s IP address and allowing just one vote per option for a single poll via that address.
In other words, re-voting for a poll choice while browsing incognito will result in your vote being discarded. If you haven’t already, you can always return to a poll to vote as long as it is open.
Before we continue, we’d like to point out that certain shows, such as “The Aquatope on White Sand,” were included in our weekly polls solely for data representation purposes and were left out of our seasonal rankings calculations because they premiered the previous season and aired without seasonal gaps.
Additionally, the rankings below should not be used to sway your decision to watch series listed lower than the Top 10, as each show has its own distinct style and each person’s taste in anime is unique. This season was jam-packed with surprises that we will certainly miss.
The following graphic depicts the Top 10 Anime of the Season for Fall 2021.
