Kindergarten WARS revealed a new teaser visual along with three additional cast members at AnimeJapan 2026. The series is slated to premiere in Spring 2027 and joining the cast are:
- Hitomi Owada as Hana
- Satoshi Hino as Luke
- Mariya Ise as Silvia
The previously announced main voice cast includes Atsumi Tanezaki as Rita and Kentaro Kumagai as Doug.

Studio Sunrise and Felix Film are animating the series with Shinsuke Gomi as director. Junko Yamanaka is the character designer.
You Chiba writes and draws the Kindergarten WARS manga, which began serialization on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ app and website in September 2022. It has released 15 volumes as of August 2025. Yen Press is releasing the manga in English, describing the story:
Rita is Convict 999, a former legendary assassin who now works at a kindergarten for the children of world leaders. Her job is to protect the schoolchildren from the clutches of would-be assassins sent after them! But even with her overwhelming strength, Rita has a weakness—she’s head-over-heels for good-looking men!
