My Hero Academia anime has announced a new collaboration with Japan’s national football team, SAMURAI BLUE, featuring new artwork of several fan-favorite heroes wearing the team’s official 2026 uniforms.

The visual features Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki, Shota Aizawa, and Hawks dressed in the national team’s kit. The campaign uses the famous slogan “Go Beyond, Plus Ultra.” You can check it out below.

In addition to the key visual, the collaboration will include a special lineup of merchandise. One of the highlights is the official adidas Japan National Team 2026 Home Replica Jersey featuring the names of the five characters:

  • DEKU
  • BAKUGO
  • SHOTO
  • AIZAWA
  • HAWKS

Each jersey will also feature the My Hero Academia anime’s 10th anniversary logo.

Online pre-orders opened on June 1 and will remain available through June 12 in Japan, with deliveries scheduled for early to mid-July. Limited quantities of selected merchandise will also be available through pop-up stores at JR Shinjuku Station from June 2 to June 15 and JR Kyoto Station from June 4 to June 22.

The collaboration follows another recently announced anime and football crossover, which saw ONE PIECE partner with SAMURAI BLUE for a special promotional video titled “To Our Highest Peak” ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Japan secured qualification for the World Cup earlier this year and will enter the tournament as one of Asia’s leading contenders. The competition will be held across the United States, Canada, and Mexico beginning in June 2026.

Kohei Horikoshi drew the My Hero Academia manga for Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from July 2014 until August 2024. The series ended last year after a 10-year run, getting numerous illustrations and messages for the conclusion.

The anime adaptation first premiered in April 2016 and has since become one of the most popular modern shonen franchises worldwide. The mainline TV anime concluded with Episode 170 on December 13, 2025, while the series released the epilogue episode My Hero Academia: More on May 2, 2026. That’s also when another new anime, a short focused on Eri, was announced. It is set to premiere this summer.
