JUJUTSU KAISEN Season 3 anime has revealed the preview images and synopsis for Episode 12 (Part 1 finale) ahead of its March 26 premiere. Studio MAPPA is back to animate the third season, with Shota Goshozono as the director. The anime topped the weekly ranking for the fourth time this season last week.
The final episode is titled “Sendai Colony,” and it will be a 27-minute extended special to conclude the first part of the Culling Game arc. It will show Yuta Okkotsu’s fight against Takako Ura and Ryu Ishigori, as was teased in a trailer earlier this week. You can see the synopsis and new preview images for the episode below.
Yuta Okkotsu. A prodigy of the modern era, second only to Satoru Gojo.
After stepping into the Sendai Colony, Yuta defeated Dhruv Lakdawalla, one of the four fighters locked in a four-way deadlock. That shift in the balance caused Kurorushi, who had been dormant, to awaken.
Yuta confronts Kurorushi as it attacks civilians. Meanwhile, Ryu Ishigori and Takako Uro, who were also part of the four-way standoff, watch the situation unfold.
How will this brutal battle conclude, involving sorcerers of the past and a special-grade cursed spirit…?

Gege Akutami’s JUJUTSU KAISEN manga officially ended on September 30, 2024. It was serialized for 6-and-a-half-years since March 2018, with the story getting concluded in 30 volumes. Volumes 29 and 30 both released on December 25, 2024. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English. The spin-off manga, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, also ended last week after 25 chapters.
Studio MAPPA previously animated both seasons of the TV anime and movie for the franchise, while Crunchyroll is streaming them. The story follows Yuji Itadori, a boy with insane physical abilities who ends up joining a school for jujutsu sorcerers after an encounter with Megumi Fushiguro, Satoru Gojo and Sukuna Ryomen. To delay getting executed for eating one of Sukuna’s fingers, Yuji takes on the task of finding and eating the remaining 19 fingers of the ‘strongest sorcerer in history’ in order to try and get rid of him. However, things don’t quite go as smoothly as they’d like.
