Sentenced to Be a Hero Season 2 TV anime has been officially announced, coming just days after the first season’s finale. Studio KAI was in charge of the animation. The announcement made at AnimeJapan 2026, while the official accounts previously teased the show’s panel after the anime ended its first season. In addition to the sequel, a game adaptation titled Game of the Goddess was also announced.
Crunchyroll also confirmed that it will stream the second season. You can watch the announcement trailer below.

Sentenced to Be a Hero: Game of the Goddess game is being developed by VIC GAME STUDIOS. You can watch the teaser trailer below.
Hiroyuki Takashima directed the first season of the anime adaptation, with Yoshitake Nakakoji as the assistant director and creature designer. Kenta Ihara was in charge of the script, Takeshi Noda designed the characters, and Shunsuke Takizawa composed the music. The voice cast includes:

- Shizuka Ishigami as Patausche Kivia
- Shun Horie as Dotta Luzulas
- Shunichi Toki as Venetim Leopool

Sentenced to Be a Hero (Yusha-kei ni Shosu: Chobatsu Yuusha 9004-tai Keimu Kiroku) is a light novel series by Rocket Shokai, and it began in October 2020 on the self-publishing website kakuyomu.jp. By September 2021, it received an official release with illustrations by MEPHISTO in Kadokawa’s Dengeki no Shin Bungei Imprint.
It has won several accolades, including first place in the User Recommendations category in the 2020 Kakuyomu Awards and second place overall in the Tsugirano Awards for up-and-coming light novel series. Yen Press licensed the novel in English.
