The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten stage at AnimeJapan revealed a video compilation of Mahiru Shiina saying “Amane-kun” in Season 1. From the video, it was shown that Mahiru has said “Amane-kun” 180 times overall. Additionally, it was announced that Marika Kono will voice Ayaka Kido. The second season of the anime is slated to premiere on April 3.

Studio Project No. 9 is returning to animate the series with a new director, Chihiro Kumano. The voice cast will reprise their roles:
- Manaka Iwami as Mahiru Shiina
- Taito Ban as Amane Fujimiya
- Hisako Kanemoto as Shihoko Fujimiya
- Kensho Ono as Yuuta Kadowaki
- Haruka Shiraishi as Chitose Shirakawa
- Makoto Furukawa as Shuto Fujimiya
- Taku Yashiro as Itsuki Akazawa
- Mai Nakahara as Sayo Shiina
The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten is a light novel series by Saekisan with illustrations by Hanekoto. It was first serialized on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website, while SB Creative acquired and began publishing it under its GA Bunko label from June 2019. It also has a manga adaptation with art by Wan Shibata and composition by Suzu Yuki.
Crunchyroll is streaming the first season, describing it as follows:
To thank him for his kind gesture, Mahiru cooks and cleans for her untidy neighbor Amane. But what was just a generous show of gratitude turns into more as they grow closer. This is the story of a sweet romance between a boy and the girl next door.
