As the new year begins and a fresh anime season unfolds, we take a moment to look back on the standout performances that defined the last. Anime Corner once again hosted its seasonal Seiyuu of the Season polls for Winter 2026. With 77 nominees across both male and female categories and over 24,000 fans casting their votes, the results are finally in.

Megumi Han outshone everyone this season as she delivered an exceptional and emotional performance as Kana Arima in Oshi no Ko. With the drama and intensity she brought to the role, it was never in doubt that she would rank among the very top.
Close behind in second place is her co-star, Yurie Igoma who showed a stellar portrayal of the devious and cheerful Ruby Hoshino. Despite it being her first major role, Igoma confidently made the character her own and left a strong and memorable impact.
Rounding out the top three is Atsumi Tanezaki, who once again delivered a magical performance as Frieren in the second season of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.

Chiaki Kobayashi claimed the top spot after a particularly strong season wherein reprising his roles as the dependable Stark in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End and the intense Gabimaru in Hell’s Paradise. After being crowned as the Top 2 seiyuu of 2025, his performances this season also truly highlighted his range and growing presence as a seiyuu.
Following in second place, Takeo Otsuka also impressed the watchers with his returning roles as the cunning Aqua Hoshino in Oshi no Ko and the determined Tsukasa Akeuraji in Medalist. He once again proved his consistency and strength and brought nuance to each performance.
Rounding out the top three is Junya Enoki, who delivered yet another standout performance as Yuji Itadori in Jujutsu Kaisen, reinforcing his reputation as one of the most impactful voices in the industry today.
A Stellar Debut
We once again have a stellar lineup of top winners from a truly stacked season. From rising stars to established veterans, every seiyuu delivered their best, making the competition tougher than ever and harder to choose the standout performances. And when newcomers manage to secure high spots in their debut roles, it only hints at the incredible potential they hold and perhaps even surpassing their seniors in the years to come.
