Taiso Samurai New Promotional Video Revealed

On 22 September 2020, the upcoming anime Taiso Samurai released its new promotional video. The anime is slated to premiere on 10 October 2020, and will be produced by MAPPA Studios under the direction of Hisatoshi Shimizu. A new key visual and additional casts were also revealed.

Synopsis

The anime takes place in the year 2002. The Japanese men’s gymnastics team, once a great assembly of athletes, have fallen from their glorious heights. Shōtarō Aragaki, 29-years old, once was one of Japan’s star athletes, but now he struggles to keep up with younger athletes and his own standards from his peak years prior. His coach, Noriyuki Amakusa, encourages him to retire, believing his best years are behind him. However, Aragaki loves the sport too much to give up, and, with the support of his young daughter Ren, decides to keep pushing onward.
