The upcoming anime film Summer Ghost directed by loundraw premieres on November 12, 2021. What’s more, is that this will be loundraw’s debut film and Flat Studio will be producing it. The upcoming movie also unveiled its first preview trailer.
For everyone’s information, loundraw is a Japanese artist known for creating original character designs for Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song and anime film I want to eat your pancreas. In addition, he’s also in charge of the conceptual design for the anime film Josee, the Tiger and the Fish.
Chiaki Kobayashi will be voicing the main protagonist Tomoya Sugisaki.
Flat Studio will be producing the film along with loundraw as the director and character designer. Hirotaka Adachi will be writing the script while the acclaimed international pianist Akira Kosemura will be in charge of the music. Avex Pictures is distributing the film while Flagship Line is producing and planning the project.
Tomoya, Aoi, and Ryo are high school students who met each other through the Internet. There is an urban legend about a young female ghost known as the “Summer Ghost. It is said to be the ghost of a young woman who appears when fireworks are lit.
Tomoya is unable to step out into the life he wants. Aoi can’t find her place in the world, while Ryo, whose shining future is suddenly closed off. All of them have their own reasons for meeting the Summer Ghosts.
