Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 2 revealed a new key visual. Part 2 begins airing on January 9, 2022. The information came after the special Attack on Titan event today, which featured appearances by the cast.
Check out the key visual, drawn by Tomohiro Kishi, character designer for Attack on Titan: Final Season Part 2:
Director Yuuichirou Hayashi commented on the visual:
There were three types of visuals for Part 1, but I tried not to focus on any particular subject, keeping in mind the themes of men, war, and ensemble drama.
The concept for Part 2 was to focus on the individual, Eren. A piece of memory is incorporated into the design, and I hope that people will feel that Eren’s battle, which has been going on since Season 1, is reaching its climax.
MAPPA also revealed Kishi’s original drawing of the visual:
The first part of Attack on Titan’s final season aired in Winter 2020. Studio MAPPA produced the final season of the anime after Studio WIT did the first 3 seasons. Yuuichirou Hayashi is directing, while Hiroshi Seko is in charge of series composition. Tomohiro Kishi is doing character designs for the final season. In addition, Kohta Yamamoto and Hiroyuki Sawano are returning to compose the music.
The main cast is also returning, with Yuki Kaji as Eren. Yui Ishikawa as Mikasa and Marina Inoue as Armin. A full trailer was recently revealed:
