Baki Hanma sequel, Baki-Dou, is getting an anime adaptation by TMS Entertainment. This will be the fifth installment in the Baki anime series that began in 2018.
The Baki anime is based on Baki the Grappler manga Keisuke Itagaki wrote and illustrated. The series ran from 1991 to 1999 in Weekly Shonen Champion, and was collected into 42 volumes. The series has multiple sequels, titled Baki, Baki Hanma, and the aforementioned Baki-Dou, all of which ran in the same magazine. The 5th series, also titled Baki-Dou (but romanized differently), started in October 2018. Baki-Dou ran from March 2014 to April 2018 and was collected into 22 volumes.
The current anime adaptation began in 2018 with Baki, which ran for 26 episodes and was animated by Double Eagle and TMS Entertainment. Baki: The Great Raitai Tournament Saga followed in the Spring of 2020. Baki Hanma (also known as Baki: Son of Ogre) was the third installment of the reboot, and Baki Hanma Season 2, which covered The Tale of Pickle & The Pickle War Saga and The Father VS Son Saga, premiered last year.
Baki Hanma is getting a crossover anime movie with the Kengan Ashura series this June. The movie will be available on Netflix.
