Netflix has released the second trailer for the Baki Hanma Season 2 anime, featuring the 2nd part titled The Father VS Son Saga. Part 1 titled The Tale of Pickle & The Pickle War Saga was released on July 26, while part 2 will be released on August 24. Watch the new trailer with English subtitles:
The new trailer also previews the part 2 opening song “Sarracenia” by SKY-HI and new ending song “Salvia” by BE:FIRST. New cast members include Megumi Hayashibara as Emi Akezawa, Hidekatsu Shibata as Yuichiru Hanma and Fumihiko Tachiki as Kaiser. Previously, Takeshi Kusao joined as Pickle, while Nobuo Tobita joined as Albert Payne. The first part is streaming on Netflix.
Keisuke Itagaki wrote and illustrated the original manga. It ran from 1991 to 1999 in Weekly Shōnen Champion, and was collected into 42 volumes. There were 3 sequel manga series, Baki, Baki Hanma and Baki-Dou, all of which ran in the same magazine. Lastly, the 5th series, also titled Baki-Dou (but romanized differently), started in October 2018.

The latest reboot began in 2018 with Baki, which ran for 26 episodes and was animated by Double Eagle and TMS Entertainment. Baki: The Great Raitai Tournament Saga followed in Spring of 2020. Baki Hanma (also known as Baki: Son of Ogre) is the third installment of the reboot, and Baki Hanma Season 2 will be picking up right after the first season.
