The Blue Archive anime continues to release character trailers weekly and this week features Serika Kuromi (voiced by Ayaka Ohashi). The anime’s official website describes the character as:
A student at Abydos High School and the grump treasurer of the Abydos Task Force. She’s the type of character who nags a lot but has difficulty expressing her true emotions. She is always saying, “I wish this school would go out of business!” but in reality, she loves the school so much that she works part-time behind the backs of others to pay off the school’s debts.
Yostar Pictures (Arknights: Perish in Frost) and Candy Box (assisted with two episodes of Arknights: Prelude to Dawn) are animating the series together under the direction of Daigo Yamagishi (Show By Rock!! Stars!!).
Shunji Maki (Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion Z) is credited as assistant director while Hiromitsu Hagiwara (Azur Lane: Slow Ahead!) is the chief animation director and character designer. Yamagishi and Hiroshi Onogi (Shangri-La) are doing the series composition. The two previous character trailers were Shiroko and Hoshino.
Blue Archive is a role-playing mobile gacha game developed by Yostar Japan and the Korean game studio Nexon, a subsidiary of Nexon Games (formerly known as NAT Games). It was initially released in Japan on February 4, 2021, while Nexon published the global version on November 8, 2021.
The game is free to play with optional in-app purchases. The TV anime adaptation was announced during the game’s 2nd-anniversary special program.
The story of Blue Archive takes place in Kivotos, an academy city that was established by the union of thousands of academies. The players of the game take the role of a sensei who will guide students in the Federal Investigation Club, otherwise known as Schale. As the city’s newest club, they receive requests from the General Student Council to assist them in keeping the city of Kivotos away from danger.
