On 16 September 2020, the upcoming anime Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki announced its released date. The anime is slated to premiere on January 2021, which will be produced by project No. 9 under the direction of Shinsuke Yanagi. It is an anime adaptation of the light novel series titled Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki (Jaku-chara Tomozaki-kun) created by Yūki Yaku and illustrated by Fly. A new key visual was also revealed.
