The official website for the Reborn as a Vending Machine anime has announced that popular Japanese rock band Bradio (stylized as BRADIO) will be performing the series’ opening theme titled “Fanfare.” The anime is set to premiere this July.
BRADIO is known for performing the opening theme song “Flyers” for the 2015 psychological thriller anime Death Parade. Other songs which have been used in anime titles include “HOTEL Alien” for the first season of Peeping Life, “Inazume” as the second ending theme for Duel Masters!, and “Soul Galaxy” as the second opening theme for Yu-Gi-Oh! Go Rush!!.
The Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon anime was first announced in August 2022, with studios Gokumi and AXsiZ animating the series. Voice actor Jun Fukuyama will voice Boxxo while Lammis voices the role of Lammis. Noriaki Akitaya is directing the series with Tatsuya Takahashi on the series composition and Takahiro Sakai on the character designs.
The TV anime is based on the light novel series written by Hirukuma, which was initially released in 2016 online on the user-generated novel publishing website Shosetsuka ni Naro. Kadokawa Shoten acquired the title later in the same year and published it with illustrations by Itsuwa Kato. A manga adaptation by Kunieda began serialization in August 2021. Yen Press is licensing both the light novel and manga in English and describes the former as:
After dying in a traffic accident, I find myself standing near an unfamiliar lake. My body won’t move, I can’t hear my voice, and when I try to shout in confusion, words that I never expected come out!
“Get one free with a winner.”
I-it seems I’ve turned into a vending machine…! I can only do what actual vending machines can. It’s impossible to move by myself, and there’s no way for me to have any meaningful conversation-how am I going to survive some fantasy world’s dungeon like this?!
