Call of the Night anime released the jacket illustration for the anime’s first BD and DVD volume which is scheduled to be released on October 26, 2022. The anime began broadcasting on July 7 and will have a total of 13 episodes. The second volume of the BD and DVD is slated for January 25, 2023.
The newly released illustration, drawn by the character designer Haruka Sagawa, shows one of the main characters from the series, vampire Nazuna Nanakusa enjoying the night sky with a naughty look and while flying above the illuminated town with someone. Behind them stays a bright full moon. Sora Amamiya (Aqua in the KonoSuba series) is voicing her in the anime.
The anime’s 15-second trailer for the BD and DVD release is available on Aniplex’s official YouTube channel, but is currently region-locked to Japan.

Kotoyama has been running the Call of the Night series in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday. The series released its thirteenth volume on September 15, 2022. The manga was named after Creepy Nuts’ song of the same name, “Yofukashi no Uta” in Japanese. The band is performing both the opening and ending songs titled “Daten” and “Yofukashi no Uta” respectively. LIDENFILMS is animating the adaptation of the manga under Tomoyuki Itamura’s direction.
