The upcoming Child of Kamiari Month movie revealed a new key visual, along with a 2-minute PV. The movie opens in Japan on October 8th, 2021.
The PV also features the theme song for the movie, which is titled “Kanna” and performed by miwa. Miwa is a Japanese singer and songwriter, known to anime fans for singing the twelfth opening theme for the Bleach anime. The new key visual features the main character Kanna and rabbit Shiro, along with Yasha and Kanna’s parents:
LIDEN FILMS (Tokyo Revengers) is animating the Child of Kamiari Month movie, which is an original work by Toshinari Shinoe. Takita Tetsurou and Ryuta Miyake are writing the script, and Miyake is also directing the movie.
The story follows Kanna, a 12-year-old girl who lost both of her parents. Kanna loved to run but now finds it too painful. One day, she touches one of the mementos left by her mother and a mysterious rabbit appears. The rabbit, Shiro, is a messenger of the Gods and she invites Kanna on a journey to Izumo. Apparently, Kanna’s family used to collect offerings and deliver them to the Gods, but now Kanna is the only one left so the task is up to her.
However, a descendant of the demons, Yasha, stands in her way. Will Kanna be able to overcome the difficulties and see her mother again?
Aju Makita is voicing Kanna, while Maaya Sakamoto is voicing Shiro. Miyu Irino is starring as Yasha, while Kanna’s parents Wataru and Norimasa are voiced by Kou Shibisaki and Arata Iura respectively. Chafuurin, Riko Nagase, Wataru Takagi and Akira Kamiya are also starring in the movie.
