Cover Corporation, the parent company of VTuber agency Hololive, has announced that it will be establishing its first overseas branch in the USA. According to the company, the US office establishment is aimed at facilitating their localization efforts to facilitate global expansion.
With the US office being established, Cover Corporation will focus on deploying various measures to expand opportunities to the local community and create new business opportunities on-site. Simultaneously, through their content IP of VTubers, they will collaborate to create a new field which they describe as “virtual entertainment [that] transcends borders and generations and creators from various genres around the world can thrive.”
COVER Corporation is actively striving to promote the culture of Japan-made “VTubers” phenomenon worldwide. Last year, we participated in over 20 anime conventions and successfully held a large-scale live concert in North America. We are excited to announce the establishment of our first overseas branch to further bring awareness to the VTuber culture in North America. Through our North American Branch, we aim to expand our local PR efforts and business operations. The company’s expansion to the US comes after multiple events it had held in the country, including its hololive English 1st Concert -Connect the World- event which was held in July 2023. Its concert roster included Mori Calliope, Takanashi Kiara, Ninomae Ina’nis, Gawr Gura, Watson Amelia, IRyS, Ceres Fauna, Ouro Kronii, Nanashi Mumei, and Hakos Baelz. Several Hololive Japan and Hololive Indonesia talents were also present during the concert. They include Tokino Sora, Hoshimachi Suisei, Houshou Marine, Ayunda Risu, Moona Hoshinova, and Pavolia Reine.
