The upcoming DanMachi Season 4 (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon IV) revealed a new trailer showcasing Bell’s journey so far and a visual for the new season, along with July 22 premiere date. Theme songs have also been revealed and include:
Bell’s journey was documented in a trailer that was announced during a YouTube live program that was streamed after a rebroadcast of the 8th episode of the first season of DanMachi anime in Japan. Yoshitsugu Matsuoka. who voices Bell, delivered a welcoming message that was followed by a recap of the first 3 seasons.
The premiere for the J.C. Staff animated series was previously teased as a summer release. The staff for the sequel includes:
The cast is returning, with Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Bell and Inori Minase as Hestia. Ayumi Mano is Cassandra, Akeno Watanabe is Aisha, Wakana Kowaka is Daphne, while Kazuyuki Okitsu and Maaya Uchida voice Kashida and Liliruca respectively. Yuka Iguchi is also returning as Hitachi.
Studio J.C. Staff also animated the previous seasons of the anime. The first one aired in the Spring 2015 season, while the second followed in the Summer of 2019. The third season aired in the Fall of 2020, while the OVA came out in 2021. Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon: Arrow of the Orion movie premiered in 2019, and was also animated by J.C. Staff.
The anime is based on a light novel written by Fujino Omori and illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda. SB Creative has been publishing it under its GA Bunko imprint since 2013. Yen Press licensed the series in English and describes the plot as:
Adventurer Bell Cranell’s life changed forever when he met the goddess Hestia, becoming the first member of her familia. Since then, he’s gone on many adventures, growing much stronger in the process. But when he steps foot into Orario’s pleasure quarter, where Ishtar Familia reigns supreme, he soon finds himself in way over his head… With enemies all around him, he’ll need the help of a beautiful, fox-eared courtesan if he’s to have any hope of making it back home!
