Date a Live Reveals Kissing Compilation Video for Japan's Kissing Day

The kissing scenes from seasons 1 to 3 the popular Date a Live anime have been compiled into a single video, as a way to mark Japan’s Kissing Day, which is celebrated every 23rd of May. You can watch the video below:

Kissing Day is a tradition that has been celebrated since May 23, 1946, as a way to mark the first on-screen kiss in Japan, that was featured in Hatachi no Seishun (20-Year Old Youth) movie.

The Date a Live anime is based on Jun Nakagawa’s light novel series. Fujimi Shhobo serialized it with Tsunako’s illustrations from 2011 to 2020, and it had a total of 22 volumes. Yen Press is publishing the light novel series in English.

The first season of Date a Live aired in 2013 under studio AIC+. Production IMS animated season 2 in 2014, and J.C. Staff took care of the third season in 2019. Keitaro Motonaga is the one who directed all of them. The fourth season of the anime titled Date a Live IV started airing on April 8, 2022, and it currently has 7 episodes. Jun Nakagawa is directing the show at studio GEEKTOYS. You can watch the series on Crunchyroll.
