Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hashira Training Arc Confirms Spring Premiere in New Commercial

The upcoming Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hashira Training arc (also season 4 of the anime) revealed a short commercial highlighting the Spring 2024 premiere date. The franchise is currently screening the To the Hashira Training movie which consists of the Swordsmith Village‘s finale and the upcoming premiere. The new season will focus on Hashira members as they prepare for a battle against Muzan Kibutsuji.

Haruo Sozotaki is directing the Hashira Training arc at studio ufotable – the same director worked on all of the previous installments. Akira Matsushima is once again the chief animation director and the character designer. MY FIRST STORY and HYDE will perform the opening theme song “Mugen.”

The first season of the TV had 26 episodes and was followed by Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mugen Train movie in 2020. The movie was an enormous success, both in Japan and overseas. Season 2 of Demon Slayer started in October of 2021 with a TV version of the Mugen Train arc. The movie was adapted into 7 episodes and it included a special first episode that wasn’t part of the movie. The second part of the second season was the Entertainment District arc, which introduced a new Hashira – Tengen Uzui. The sequel, titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Swordsmith Village Arc aired throughout the Spring 2023 anime season and had 11 episodes (the final one was longer than usual).

Demon Slayer is based on a manga by Koyoharu Gotoge. It ran from 2016 to 2020 in the Weekly Shonen Jump and ended after 205 chapters, compiled into 23 volumes.
