Japanese rock band My First Story and singer Hyde will be performing the opening theme of season 4 of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. The song is titled “Mugen.” The new season will focus on the Hashira Training arc and is set to premiere in the spring of this year.
Details about Demon Slayer season 4 opening theme were released following the kick off of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – To the Hashira Training tour in Japan, which allowed fans to watch the Swordsmith Village arc finale, as well as an exclusive peek into the first episode of the Hashira Training arc. The fourth season of Demon Slayer was announced following the third season’s finale on June 2023. The third season began on April 9, 2023. It aired for a total of 11 episodes, but the first episode was an hour-long special while the final one was 70 minutes long. Other seasons include the 26-episode first season from April to September 2018, and the second season, the first part adapting the Mugen Train arc (October-November 2021) and the second part adapting the Entertainment District arc (December 2021-February 2022).
The Hashira Training Arc begins with volume 16 of the manga. VIZ describes the story:
Tanjiro goes to see the Stone Hashira, Himejima, who intends to prepare him for the battles to come. The training to become a Hashira—a high-ranking member of the Demon Slayer Corps—is intense and demanding, and earning Himejima’s approval seems impossible, but Tanjiro won’t give up!
