Kenji Nagasaki directed the movie at BONES, just as with the TV anime and first two movies. The original creator Kohei Horikoshi also supervised the story and did the character design. The voice cast:
The movie hit theaters across Japan on August 6, 2021. It was initially off to a decent start by taking second place in terms of viewers in that week’s ranking. It grossed over $1.4 million in the first 10 days of showing, and consequently became the highest-grossing movie in the My Hero Academia series.
The story is set in the Endeavor Agency arc while Deku, Bakugo and Todoroki are training with the Number 1 Hero. Besides Deku, the new character Rudy is also wanted nationwide for a crime they didn’t commit. To make everything harder, they only have 2 hours to stop Humarise’s (the new villain group) global plans of eliminating all Quirks! The movie is not yet rated and has an approximate running time of 104 minutes.
Funimation is currently streaming the 5th TV anime season, with the previous 4 also available on the platform. The first two My Hero Academia movies are My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising (2020) and My Hero Academia: Two Heroes (2018).
