The upcoming anime series The Genius Prince’s Guide to Raising a Nation revealed a release date – January 2022. Yokohama Animation Lab will be producing the series, while Masato Tamagawa is directing.
In addition to the release date, The Genius Prince’s Guide to Raising a Nation anime previously revealed a key visual:
Soma Saitou will be voicing the main character Wein, while Rie Takahashi is Ninym Ralei. In addition, Sayaka Senbongi will be lending her voice to Falanya Elk Arbalest, along with Nao Tōyama as Lowellmina Earthworld.
Masato Tamagawa (Saint Seiya) is directing the series along with Xin Ya Cai as the assistant director. Deko Akao (Noragami, Higehiro) will be penning the script while Ryunosuke Ouji will be designing the characters.
Other staff members include Yoshihiro Tsukashita as the 3D director, Hirotsugu Kakoi as the art director, and Fusako Nakao as the color designer. Lastly, Toshihiko Sahashi will be composing the music.
The Genius Prince’s Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt is a light novel written by Tōru Toba and illustrated by Falmaro. SB Creative started publishing the novel series in May 2018 and the series published its 10th volume on August 12, 2021.
Yen Press licensed the light novel and describes the plot as:
It ain’t easy being a genius…
The prince of this small and weak kingdom strives for only one thing: selling out his country and living a quiet life in leisure! Sadly, the greatest obstacle he will ever face is his own genius…! As he achieves ever greater accomplishments, he earns more and more favor with the people of his kingdom…which makes fulfilling his own dreams all the harder!!!
