Gun Gale Online Season 2 Reveals New Visual and Trailer, October 2024 Premiere

Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online II (Season 2) anime has revealed a new key visual and teaser trailer, and it’s confirmed an October 2024 premiere date. Studio 3Hz is animating, and you can see the new key visual below.

The first season ran for a total of 12 episodes in the Spring 2018 anime season, while the second season was announced at the 30th Dengeki Bunko Summer Festival in July 2023. Masayuki Sakoi is returning to direct the sequel. Also check out the short teaser trailer:

Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online II (Season 2) – Teaser Trailer

The anime is based on Keiichi Sigsawa’s Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online (Sodo Ato Onrain Orutanatibu Gangeiru Onrain) light novel series. ASCII Media Works has licensed the light novel, while the manga adaptation with illustrations by Tadadi Tamori was also serialized by ASCII Media Works from December 2015 to January 2021.

Yen Press is serializing the Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online light novel series in English and describes the plot as:
A Brand-New Battlefield Awaits!Karen Kohiruimaki is a college student who stands at an imposing six feet. While her complex about her height makes it hard for her to make friends in the real world, the VRMMO Gun Gale Online changes everything. Now equipped with her ideal “mini” avatar and clad in a pink battle suit, Karen is ready to shoot up the world of GGO as Llenn! Before long, she meets the beautiful Pitohui, and the two rare female players become fast friends. Little does Llenn know that this friendship is the key to her entry in the first-ever Squad Jam, a team-based battle royale that echoes the famous Bullet of Bullets tournament…
