The official Twitter and website of the upcoming anime Hoshikuzu Telepath announced two additional cast members on Friday. Hina Yomiya will be voicing Umika’s younger sister Honami Konohoshi while Natsumi Takamori is playing the role of Emihara, Umika’s teacher. Collages of the new cast members feauturing characters have also been revealed. The anime is slated to premiere this October.
Studio Gokumi (Yuki Yuna Is a Hero) is animating the series with the direction of Kaori (The Quintessential Quintuplets ∬). Natsuko Takahashi (Comic Girls) is writing the scripts while Takahiro Sakai (Ms. Vampire Who Lives In My Neighborhood) is in charge of the character designs and is also serving as chief animation director. The previously revealed cast members of Hoshikuzu Telepath anime consist of:
Hoshikuzu Telepath is a four-panel manga series written and illustrated by Rasuko Okuma. Houbunsha’s seinen manga magazine Manga Time Kirara has been serializing the title since May 2019. The manga was nominated for Best Printed Manga in the seventh “Next Manga Awards” in 2021.
The series is a coming-of-age story that follows a shy girl named Umika Konohoshi, who is having a hard time socializing with others and making friends. One day, a transfer student named Yu Akeuchi appears. She turns out to be an alien who can read others’ feelings by touching their foreheads.
