Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie revealed a new trailer, which features the ending theme song by King Gnu titled “Sakayume”. The movie premiered on December 24, 2021, in Japan.
Since its release, the movie earned over $50 million (over $20 million during the opening weekend alone). Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is a prequel to the first season of the anime, and it covers Volume 0 of the manga. Studio MAPPA animated the movie, under Park Seong-Hu’s direction. The same director also worked on the TV anime series. Tadashi Hiramatsu did character designs, with Junichi Higashi as the art director. Arisa Okehazama, Yoshimasa Terui, and Hiroaki Tsutsumi composed the music.
In addition to the ending theme, King Gnu also performed the opening titled “Ichizu”.
Yuta Okkotsu is a nervous high school student who is suffering from a serious problem—his childhood friend Rika has turned into a Curse and won’t leave him alone. Since Rika is no ordinary Curse, his plight is noticed by Satoru Gojo, a teacher at Jujutsu High, a school where fledgling exorcists learn how to combat Curses. Gojo convinces Yuta to enroll, but can he learn enough in time to confront the Curse that haunts him?
