Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Novel Set for December Release

The upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie is getting an official novel adaptation by Ballad Kitaguni. The novel ships on 24 December in Japan, the same day as the movie’s premiere.

The novel will be based on the movie’s script by Hiroshi Seko, with Gege Akutami (the mangaka) listed as the original creator. The author Kitaguni previously worked on Jujutsu Kaisen: Iku Natsu to Kaeru Aki light novel. Jujutsu Kaisen novel will cost 836 yen (around 7.5 USD) and have 256 pages.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie recently revealed the first trailer and will adapt the prequel manga volume that focuses on Yuta Okkotsu. In addition to the movie, TV anime by MAPPA aired from Fall 2020 to Winter 2021.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 manga by Gege Akutami has 4 chapters, compiled into 1 volume. The serialization lasted from April 28, 2017 to July 28, 2017, while the volume came out in 2018. The series was originally titled Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School. Viz Media licensed the manga in English.

Yuta Okkotsu is a nervous high school student who is suffering from a serious problem—his childhood friend Rika has turned into a Curse and won’t leave him alone.
