For the adult lineup, shirts include cover images from Jujutsu Kaisen manga or of some of the series’ core characters. The kids collection features illustrations of anything from pandas eating bananas to other images from the series.
This is the first of two collabs; Uniqlo will release a second one based on the anime at a later date. Adult shirts will cost 1,500 yen and kids shirts 990 yen, about $13.81 and $9.11, respectively.
For those who don’t know, Jujutsu Kaisen was one of the most popular new anime of 2020. The series, based on the manga of the same name from Gege Akutami, debuted as an anime in September 2020. Jujutsu Kaisen’s story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he finds himself tied up in a supernatural world of monsters called “Curses.” One of the most powerful and famous curses possesses Yuji, who ends up training at the Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College to control his power and become a Jujutsu Sorcerer.
The anime went viral not only for its likeable characters but also its incredible action. For one, every single fight is incredibly animated with countless unforgettable moments. Even more, each character has their own unique outlook on life and death. Several powerful and developed characters both guide and fight alongside Yuji. If you haven’t seen the anime or manga you have to check it out. If you have seen either, then you know why these shirts will look incredible.
Jujutsu Kaisen’s anime ended this past March, but the story will continue with an expansion anime film in Japan. Plus, you can read our other Jujutsu Kaisen articles here on Anime Corner!
