Latest from the long line of Love Live! series, Nijigasaki High School Idol Club first season aired in Fall 2020. Studio Sunrise animated the anime, while Tomoyuki Kawamura directed it. Additionally, Naoki Endo was in charge of the music for the series.
The story is set in Nijigasaki High School and follows second-year student, Yu Takasaki (voiced by Hinako Yano). She, alongside her friend Ayumu, joins the school’s Idol Club. They navigate the difficult high school life together, as well as make friends and contribute to their club. Additionally, they sing and get a chance to express themselves in unique ways. They go above and beyond to find a way to achieve their dreams.
There is no information on the studio or the staff listings yet. In addition, the announcement didn’t reveal the cast for the sequel. However, if previous Love Live! adaptations are an indicator, the main cast will probably reprise their roles.
