The upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom anime film has revealed its second trailer, as well as details on its cast members. The anime film was announced in July this year, and it will premiere in January 2024. Watch the new trailer:

Sunrise (Bandai Namco Filmworks) is animating the movie under the direction of Mitsuo Fukuda, who has worked on previous Gundam titles such as Mobile Suit Gundam SEED (2002) and Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny (2004). The official synopsis for Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom is described as:
C.E. (Cosmic Era). An era in which there are human beings called Coordinators, born with superior physical and mental abilities thanks to genetic modification, and humans called Naturals who are born naturally. With their respective existence at stake, the ideological clash between Coordinators and Naturals escalated into war using armed force. Along the way, the Destiny Plan was proposed, which would forcibly assign a role to each individual and create a world free of competition. But amid the fighting, this Destiny Plan was rejected in order to protect humanity’s aspirations and future freedom.
Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM was announced 20 years after the last anime title from the Mobile Gundam SEED series. It first started with Mobile Suit Gundam SEED which aired from October 2002 to September 2003 for 50 episodes. This was then followed by Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny which aired from October 2004 to October 2005 for 50 episodes as well. Both anime titles received a special edition and an HD remaster specifically.
Gundam is a Japanese mix-media franchise that focuses on mecha robots, created by Sunrise and Yoshiyuki Tomino. The franchise officially premiered on April 7, 1979, with the Mobile Suit Gundam anime series. In addition to the popular anime series and spin-offs, the franchise also has manga, novels, video games, and toys.
