My Hero Academia Season 5 Finale Preview Images Released

The preview images for the upcoming Season 5 finale of My Hero Academia were released on Thursday via the official website. You can view the first full set on the official Twitter account down below. The rest of the preview images are up on the official website here.

Episode 112

Last week, we were given more backstory as to how Tomura Shigaraki came to be. Once known by his real name as a kid, Tenko Shimura, the sinister villain we know today was given his current name after All For One took him in. Someone who was timid and afraid of the world, just wanting someone to reach out to him, is now the leader of the most destructive force of villains since the My Hero Academia anime started.

The Paranormal Liberation Front was officially born last week. Re-Destro succumbed to Tomura and the two ended up joining forces. With Tomura at the helm and making the rest of the League of Villains his lieutenants, a new threat has emerged in the world of My Hero Academia. And the threat that the heroes are preparing for has now become much bigger than anticipated.

Season 5 In The Rearview, Bring On Season 6

Season five has been at the center of criticism since the season started back in the spring. Questions regarding animations and the order of events compared to the manga have certainly been the topic of discussion. And it’s easy to tell that season five definitely hasn’t been the most popular among fans. However, ending the season with My Villain Academia was the right call and it leaves us all eager for what is to come with season six.

And we might be getting that news sooner than later.

At this point, it’s safe to assume that another season of My Hero Academia is on the way. When the next season will air is another question for later down the road. But it’s expected we will hear official word sometime soon, possibly in the next issue of Weekly Shonen Jump. Another movie isn’t totally out of the question either.

So definitely keep an eye out for the news here at Anime Corner.

The My Hero Academia Season 5 finale will air on Saturday, September 25, on Crunchyroll and Funimation.
