My Hero Academia Season 6 Officially Announced

My Hero Academia Season 6 is officially in the works. The information was confirmed after the finale of season 5, which aired earlier today. An announcement teaser trailer is also available:

Season 6 – Paranormal Liberation Arc

Season 5 came to an end on Saturday, September 25, with the 113th episode of the series. Now, manga fans are taking to social media letting anime-only fans that next season will be the best one yet. My Hero Academia Season 6 will be covering the Paranormal Liberation War arc, which spans over chapters 253-306 in the manga.

We also can’t rule out the possibility of another My Hero Academia movie in the works either. The first two movies of the series, Two Heroes (2018) and Heroes Rising (2019) were released in back-to-back years.

Season 5 covered the beginning of this arc back when episode 107 aired. For those of you who forgot, this episode covers Present Mic and Aizawa’s visit to Kurogiri, who is later revealed to be childhood friend, Oboro Shirakumo. For reference, the chapters in the manga for this episode spanned over 253, 254, and 255.

My Hero Academia’s Success

My Hero Academia has become one of the most successful anime series of all time. Earlier this year, the manga exceeded over 50 million copies sold, 30 million of which came over a three-month span. And recently, the latest movie ‘World Heroes Missions’ exceeded 3 billion Yen ($28 million USD) in ticket sales. The film is now the highest-earning of the three My Hero Academia movies.

My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission will open in the United States on October 29. Tickets go on sale on October 1. You can watch the most recent trailer for the movie below.
