The upcoming My Home Hero anime has received a new trailer ahead of its premiere this year. Tezuka Productions is animating the series, with Takashi Kamei as the director.
Previously announced cast members include Junichi Suwabe as Tetsuo Tosu, Rumi Ookubo as Hibiki, Akio Ootsuka as Kubo, Kento Ito as Kyoichi Majima, Keita Tada as Nobuto Matori, Shinchiro Miki as Yoshitatsu Matori, Sayaka Oohara as Kasen Tosu, Chihiro Shirata as Reika Tosu, Koichi Yamadera as Shino, Katsuhiro Tokuishi as Takeda, and Mitsuhiro Sakamaki as Bin Tabada.
Kohei Kiyasu is doing the series composition, and Masatsune Noguchi is on the character designs. Kenji Kawai is composing the music, Takumi Ito is the sound director, and Yukio Abe is the art designer.
The series’ theme songs are “Ai no Uta” by Chiai Fujikawa as the opening theme song, and “Decided” by Ayapeta as the ending theme song.
My Home Hero anime is based on a manga of the same name by Naoki Yamakawa and illustrated by Masashi Asaki. It is being serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine, and is currently on its seventh volume.
Tetsuo Tosu is a hard-working office worker who loves his only daughter, Reika. One day, he finds a bruise on Reika’s face. He asks her who did this to her, but she just shrugs it off. On his way home, Tetsuo finds a man who looks like the culprit and follows him. However, this is the beginning of an incident that changes the fate of the family. The father sets out on a path of destruction for the sake of his daughter and his family

Naoki Yamakawa is best known as the author of the I’m Standing on a Million Lives (Hyakuman no Inochi no Ue ni Ore wa Tatte Iru) manga, which has been serialized in the Weekly Young Magazine since 2016. This work also received an anime adaptation, which had 2 seasons that aired from October to December 2020 and July to September 2021 respectively.
