My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU TOO (Oregairu 2) is now available for streaming in subbed and dubbed versions on HIDIVE, starting on October 20, 2023. Previously only the first and the third seasons of SNAFU were available to stream, as the platform delisted the second around two years ago.
The news is timely as the Oregairu anime prepares for Oregairu Fes.10th, its 10-year anniversary festival celebrating the anime’s first episode in 2013. The festival is set for February 17, 2024, and was marked with a new visual. The main cast and author, Wataru Watari, are all expected to be in attendance. Anime Corner also had the opportunity to interview Watari and his editor, Hironori Hoshino, earlier this year.
All three seasons of Oregairu anime are available for purchase from the North American licensor of the anime, Sentai Filmworks. Yen Press holds the license for the light novels. They describe the first volume:
Hachiman Hikigaya is a cynic. “Youth” is a crock, he believes–a sucker’s game, an illusion woven from failure and hypocrisy. But when he turns in an essay for a school assignment espousing this view, he’s sentenced to work in the Service Club, an organization dedicated to helping students with problems in their lives! How will Hachiman the Cynic cope with a job that requires–gasp!–optimism?
Both HIDIVE and Sentai are owned by AMC Networks. As is often the case with HIDIVE, regional availability may vary.
