A new anime project is in the works for the I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in the Real World, Too series. The announcement came during today’s Fantasia Bunko Festival, alongside a teaser visual. The author, Miku, commented on the new project saying that they look forward to the new adaptation. Rein Kuwashima, the illustrator for the light novel who drew the new visual, also commented, saying: “As a fan, I look forward to seeing Yuya-kun in action again.” The visual features Lexia von Arselia who is holding up two fingers:
The I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in the Real World, Too anime is based on a light novel written by Miku and illustrated by Rein Kuwashima. KADOKAWA is currently serializing the novel under its Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint. A manga adaptation by Kazuomi Minatogawa is also ongoing in Dengeki Comic Regulus.
The first season of the anime adaptation was announced last August. Shin Itagaki was the chief director of the anime, with Shingo Tanabe as the director. The main cast included Akari Kito as Kaori Hojo, Kaori Maeda as Lexia von Arcelia, and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Yuya Tenjo. The recent trailer features the opening theme song “Gyakuten Geki” by Tsukuyom.
Yen Press licensed both the light novel and the manga in English and describes the plot as:
