The latest Kingdom Season 5 key visual was released on November 14, 2023, ahead of the anime series’ January 2024 release date. Studios Pierrot and St.Signpost are animating the sequel. Additional cast members were also revealed and are:
Kingdom Season 5‘s release date is January 6, 2024. Kenichi Imaizumi will return to direct the series, while Jun Fukuyama reprises his role as Sei Ei/Ying Zheng, Masakazu Morita as Shin Ri/Li Xin, and Rie Kugimiya as Karyo Ten/He Liao Diao. The previous cast announcement was released in September. Kingdom is based on the best-selling manga by Yasuhisa Hara which began serialization in Weekly Young Jump in 2006. The manga has not yet been licensed in English.
Crunchyroll is streaming the series and describes the plot as:
Shin and Hyou are war-orphans in the kingdom of Qin. They dream of proving themselves on the battlefield until the day Hyou is captured by a minister. The boy manages to escape and return to his village, but he is badly injured. Shin then meets a mysterious youth who bears an eerie resemblance to Hyou—a boy who will one day become emperor!
