The previously announced The Quintessential Quintuplets ∽ anime TV special by studio SHAFT has revealed the first trailer. The special will be premiering this summer, while it will have a three-week theatrical screening tour in Japan starting on July 14. Watch the trailer:
Yukihiro Miyamoto is directing, with Keichiro Ochi in charge of the series composition. The cast from the original The Quintessential Quintuplets anime is also returning for the new project. The theme songs will be released on July 12, and both of them will be performed by the Nakano sisters. The opening song is titled “Go-toubun no Mirai” while the ending song is “Takaramono.” The cast includes:
The first season of The Quintessential Quintuplets anime adaptation aired in 2019 and was animated by Tezuka Productions. Bibury Animation Studios took over for the 2nd season, which premiered in 2021. Bibury Animation Studios also animated the final movie.
Kodansha licensed the manga, which also ended last year and has since published an epilogue chapter, in English. Crunchyroll streams the anime, and they describe the story:
